On behalf of the Shia Muslim Council of Southern California, we would like to announce that the first day of Jumada al-Akhirah 1439 AH will be Saturday, February 17th, 2018. The crescent moon was sighted on Friday, February 16th. 

We pray to Allah to guide and bless us as we remember Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (p) and Lady Umm al-Banin (p) during this month.
