Srour serves as the Vice President of the AhlulBayt Mosque of Los Angeles, CA. She has been serving the Muslim community in Los Angeles, CA about 2 years under this role, but has also volunteered her time in other positions in the mosque in previous years. Throughout her time as the Vice President she has helped to fundraise for the refurbishment of the mosque to cater to the needs of the community and make the mosque a safe haven for all. She
has pioneered for English lectures to held for the benefit the youth. Srour is very passionate about her volunteer work, especially when it comes to serving Allah (swt) and the shia community at large.

Srour was born in Iraq, and has lived all over the world including Iraq, UAE and England, and she has called Los Angeles her home for nearly 24 years. Srour has a bachelors degree in interior design from the University of Westminster in London, UK. Srour has achieved many qualifications throughout the years including being a licensed paralegal, dental nurse and pharmaceutical technician. However, her most notable achievement in life is being a
proud wife (to Mr Mohammed Hakkak) and mother to her teenage triplets, whom she has devoted most of her time to, in order to see that they succeed in life not just academically but also spiritually.
