Dr. Shakeela Fatima Shah is an active member of the community. She is the chapter head of the Imamia Medics SoCal and frequents centers in the San Fernando Valley including Fatima Islamic Society and Masjid Rasool SImi Valley.
Under Dr. Shakeela Shah’s leadership, Imamia Medics has partnered with SMC on a couple of initiatives to benefit the community including a Medical Camp at Jafaria Islamic Society, Blood Drives at Majid Rasool, Zainabia Islamic Society, and Jafaria Islamic Society during Muharram and also was a leader in addressing the need to have virtual programs during the Pandemic while the community was commemorating Muharram and Safar safely. With IMI she has organized CME lectures for health care professionals, community members as well as the youth. Her goal is to be of service to the Shia Muslim community, to live by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and strive to do the best.
Dr. Shah graduated from UCLA and received her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University. She is a practicing Medical Hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente and is on the teaching faculty affiliated with the UCLA Residency program.She lives in Porter Ranch with her husband, Syed Qamarli and their children.
