The Crescent Moon of the Month of Dhul Qa’dah, 1440AH
| On behalf of the Shia Muslim Council of Southern California, we would like to announce that the first day of Dhul Qa’dah 1440 AH will be Thursday, July 4th, 2019. The crescent moon was sighted during sunset on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 in many locations throughout North America. Key dates for the Month of Dhul Qa’dah 11 Dhul Qa’dah (July 14th) – Birthday of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha(p), (Year 148 A.H.) End of Dhul Qa’dah (Aug. 1 or 2nd) – Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawwad (p), (Year 220 A.H.) We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p). |
