ICNA Hosts Dinner to Promote Tolerance and Harmony
The Holy Quran in Surah 29, Ayat 46, clearly directs how we should deal with other faiths: “And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our God and your God is One, and to Him we have submitted”
With this in mind, Islamic Circle Of North America (ICNA), held a dinner on March 15, 2018 to celebrate our community’s participation in the National Muslim Catholic Dialogue, which was held last week in Chicago. SMC Leadership attended this successful event at Ma’s Islamic Chinese in Fullerton, CA to promote peace, tolerance and harmony with our Christian and Jewish neighbors. We thank ICNA, and especially Waqas Syed for the invitation and for their wonderful work for the community.
