The Crescent Moon of the Month of Safar, 1439 AH
| On behalf of the Shia Muslim Council of Southern California, we would like to announce that the crescent moon was sighted on the evening of Friday, October 20th. Therefore tomorrow, October 21st, is the first day of the month of Safar, 1439 AH. We pray to Allah to guide and bless us as we remember Imam Hassan (A.S), Imam Ali-Reza (AS), and during our commemoration of the 40th of Imam Hussain (AS).
